PLEASE NOTE: Work will begin on Thursday, January 7th, on various site restoration projects, and will continue throughout the month. Temporary entrance fencing will be installed at the main gate entrance to the property (Northern perimeter of the site).
Please respect the fence and all on-site notifications, and only enter the site during posted "open hours" (see below). Also please watch for construction materials, personnel and changes in existing paths, trails, and barriers.
In addition to construction at the gate, work will continue on Jennie’s Trail building, water course repairs and tread repairs. Please stay off the trail and use the existing vehicle path to walk down to the lighthouse and Westaway Plaza.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
(If the temporary fencing is closed - the site is closed. The site is private property, please respect the closed fencing. No Trespassing.)
Visitor parking is only in the designated parking lot at the end of Sheringham Point Road. No parking is available after site closure hours.
When parking, please be sure to take or secure your valuables and lock your vehicle. This is a remote area and thieves have been known to break into vehicles.
Please note: there is no overnight camping permitted on the site, in the parking area or anywhere along Sheringham Point Road.
Please be sure to carry out all litter, and leave no trace of your visit. Campfires are not permitted. Please help us keep the site clean and safe.
The Heritage Site is located near a mature and active local community, so please respect the surrounding private property - stay on the marked trail, keep noise levels down and respect the neighbours.
Entrance to the site is via Sheringham Point Road only - from the parking lot there is a short walking trail to the lighthouse site. There is no other safe and legal vehicle entrance to the site.
Enjoy your visit, and thank you for your help to keep this unique Heritage Lighthouse Site working effectively and accessible for all.
